Horn - check it operates effectively
Lights - all lights are checked for operation and security. Do headlamps dazzle?
Tow Bars - ensure all components are secure, free from damage nor missing
Steering - check for ‘free play. The steering wheel will be failed if it hampers proper control or likely to cause the driver injury.
Bonnet catch - can it be secured in the closed position?
Prior to taking your vehicle on long journeys, we would recommend that you check the following
- Tyre condition and pressures
- Oil levels
- Radiator level
- Screen wash level Holiday Checks
- All bulbs working
- Brake fluid levels
- Power steering level
- Coolant levels
- Battery test
- Condition of wiper blades
Fuelling a greener future: E10 petrol set for September 2021 launch
A small number of older vehicles, including classic cars and some from the early 2000s, will continue to need E5 fuel, which is why supplies of E5 petrol will be maintained in the ‘Super’ grade. We are advising motorists to use the new E10 compatibility checker to see if their vehicle is compatible.
