COVID -19 - NEW RULES ON MOT TESTING FOR LIGHT VEHICLES

DVSA has announced that cars, vans and motorcycles  due their MOT from 30th March will have their MOT extended by 6 months. This will continue until confirmed otherwise.

 

MOTs due before 30th March still need to be done.

MOT price £54.85

Class 4 MOTs can be completed via prior appointment using our Automated Test Lane.
 
A customer viewing area is available if you wish to wait or you can browse Mill Lane Farm shop opposite the garage.
 
Customers will be notified if additional work is required.
 
The MOT test only confirms that at the time of the test, the vehicle has met the minimum acceptable environmental and road safety standards.
 
All doors, bonnet, tailgate must open otherwise the MOT test cannot be carried out.

Tips for passing the MOT

Registration Plate – ensure it is secure and not obscured
Horn – check it operates effectively
Lights – all lights are checked for operation and security. Do headlamps dazzle?
